HEAD OF CURATORIAL PROJECTS (Full Time)
The Arts Centre Gold Coast is at an exciting and pivotal moment as we evolve into a cultural precinct and the Gold Coast’s home of arts and culture. In the coming years, we will become a distinctly Gold Coast gathering place that seamlessly marries art, culture, recreation, hospitality and citizenship to deliver great experiences and memories.
We are looking for a Head of Curatorial Projects person to join our team within the Gold Coast City Gallery. Reporting to the Gallery Director, you will lead the curatorial development and implementation of an exceptional program of visual arts exhibitions and experiences throughout the Cultural Precinct, including the City Gallery.
You will develop meaningful exhibition narratives and content selected from the Gallery’s permanent collection; develop curatorial projects, and oversee travelling exhibitions. You will have extensive curatorial experience in significant exhibitions, publications, collection development and audience engagement programs within a public gallery.

CAFE & BAR MANAGER
ABOUT THE JOB
This is a brand new position! This role will be responsible for servicing the needs of the patrons of the Arts Centre gold Coast – through efficient and effective management of The Arts Centre Café.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
The perfect candidate for this role will be an experienced hospitality manager who has come from a high-volume casual dining background. Possessing sound business acumen, strong people management skills, a passion to engage with your surrounding community and a hunger to continually push the performance of your venue. The ability to articulate results and figures to your team and management is a must, along with experience with budgets and KPI’s being an essential skill for this role.
Most importantly – our new Restaurant and Bar Manager will be full of energy and love to be surrounded by passionate like-minded people.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a similar position (as a Manager)
- Demonstrated exceptional customer service skills
- Acute financial management skills
- Diploma of Management (Hospitality) – or equivalent – would be highly regarded
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Current QLD RSA (and a thorough understanding of this legislation)
- Current Food Safety Certification
- Competent in all aspects of Food & Beverage service, skills, and procedures
- RMLV qualification would be highly regarded
